Food, music and cricket. Free lunch, free face painting and free popcorn, and the chance to meet the people running the club this season.

  • 10:00amThe reigning premiers, our Women's XI, play a T20 against Bacchus Marsh
  • 11:00amFestivities begin: free face painting and popcorn, the Magpie merchandise tent and the club info table
  • 11:30amSeason launch: hear from our president, senior coach and junior coordinators

First women's premiership in club history
Wallan 6/134 (28.2 overs) def. Gisborne 133

At Greenhill Reserve, captain Megan Farrell took 4/18 as Gisborne were bowled out for 133, then made 63 not out to finish the chase with ten balls to spare. Terrie Haydon took three wickets and Charli Laity made 30 in a 76-run stand with Farrell. Farrell was player of the match.

Wallan 3/151 def. Eastern Hill 9/150

In front of a packed Greenhill Reserve, playing-coach Steven Bell took 4/16 off 14 overs and was best on ground. Captain Bryan Vance and Spencer Whittingham both made 40, and Ryan Cumberland sealed it with a four and a six. The win took the Magpies back into the McIntyre Cup.
